Hanging skorts in many colours

A great time to sort out skorts and bike shorts

The lead up to the summer holidays is often a good time for some serious decluttering and sorting out of cupboards before it gets too hot.

Which no one wants to do when the sun is shining and the beach is beckoning. 🌴

So we put it off for as long as possible.

Running a small business is not all that different. It’s easy to let the stock pile up and then feel a overwhelmed and hope it all magically gets sorted by itself. 😂

We’ve put things off long enough and finally our last stock is counted. Looking around at all the quality garments and fine workmanship, it’s easy to see why our skorts and bike shorts are so loved by girls Australia-wide. And why we have so many repeat customers!

However this year’s a bit different for us because we’ve decided to sell all the existing stock and rethink whether we make more. Ever.

We may just hand over the reins to someone else, but right now we’re still deep in thought about this. So stay tuned.

There’s only a couple of school weeks left, so now is the best time to stock up for next year and avoid the last minute January panic buys. Plus, if you wait too long sizes may have sold out.

Skorts and bike shorts too nice for just school

Parents tell us that some girls wear their skorts ALL THE TIME. So don’t be surprised if you find your girls wearing them and the bike shorts over the summer holidays. This not totally surprising because they were designed originally as a leisure garment after all.

Somehow they morphed into school sports uniforms when a couple of local schools first saw them many years ago. We then pivoted to uniforms to meet a growing demand and the rest is history.

Because they’re so stretchy, unbranded, and super comfortable, and the bike shorts are practical to wear under summer dresses on holiday or weekends, they are truly multi-functional. And the colours (black, navy, red, royal blue, green, and maroon) are vibrant to match colourful party dresses as well as school uniforms in six colours.

The quality and double stitching ensures they’re super long-wearing which is good news for younger sisters. By the time skorts are handed down, they usually still look like new and this is important when trying to cut down on landfill.✅

Some new kids on the block

On the website you may have noticed we’ve added a few discontinued navy skort styles. These are slightly shorter in style but still in perfect condition (a testament to how long-lasting our garments are), and they’re definitely too good to waste! Many girls seem to like this style so see what you think.

We’ve also added a few coral coloured skorts. A lighter red than our usual ruby school uniform red, so these ones are definitely for leisure. If your girls like wearing our Skortshop skorts for school, then the coral skorts might be a good option for weekend wear or social sport. But only made in a few sizes in this colour. Maybe good to wear for tennis or pickle ball over the holidays?

Have a look at the website to see which skorts and bikes shorts are still available.
